The new capabilities will be added to Aerohive’s Personal Engagement Platform, a solution for retailers that was created earlier this year.
This could mean better service, specials and discounts, or access to more personalized information based on the user’s location in relation to the organization. While the new Engagement Platform is geared to retailers, the platform could also provide benefits for a variety of other industries as well.
Beacons can be managed through Aerohive’s cloud management platform, and customers who use it will be able to manage the beacons as a ‘network’ using the Aerohive management interface.
